As in my case, I am getting my payment on time for the last 3 years (1.25 for editing 2.50 for trans) for night shift and I do not really have to reach out to anybody at SMGC in this regard, it is automatically credited to my account. In regards to formatting doubts or new specifications from the client, I can easily reach Shiva Prasad via the cell phone number that I have provided in my post or SMGC yahoo contact ID which is active 24/7 and keeps updating me about file status, and in fact a person from the office calls up to inform me about stat jobs on Sundays or during off hours and tells me to log in to clear them. Their website is stated in my earlier post. Now about the appeal by these guys to intermediate on their behalf, I think this is beyond my capacity.
Another thing that I would like to mention is that when I joined SMGC, they had just got a new account and the client's condition for going to DSP is that you should do 2000 consecutive lines with 99-100% accuracy in all files to clear for DSP. Only a few individuals made it because of this strict condition and there was a lot of heartburn for those who did not make it. So, it is obvious there were a lot of technicalities involved regarding the dealings between individual companies and SMGC regarding various aspects like minimum line count, non-DSP rates, etc., which I am not aware of and also not bothered about.
The fact is that I feel very awkward going overboard providing facts and figures supporting the company when in fact the company is not expecting this from me. The discussion regarding my original thread was carried to unimaginable levels by 2 individuals and I had not expected to prolong this thread after my original post. Therefore, I would like to say that SMGC is one of the MT companies in India and it is not the only company left in India. So, consider SMGC as just another link in addition to the numerous links you receive from various sources, to help you search new jobs. Any reader who feels like commenting may start a new thread and other can follow up... please end this thread.
